Lillian E Smith

If you missed the opportunity this morning to screen two documentary films on Lillian E. Smith, hear from renowned scholars, and tour the writers home place. . . .well, you missed something special! As a reminder, you still have an opportunity to tour the home and view the films tomorrow (Sunday) morning at the Lillian E. Smith Center in Clayton. If you have not had an opportunity to see the special exhibit at the Rabun County Historical Society, please do! And if you have not read the works of Lillian E. Smith, you can find her books at Prater’s Main Street Books and Coffee Nook in Clayton.
I've also set up a blog, with links to The Lillian E. Smith Foundation and Southern Literary Trail : www.lillianesmith.blogspot.com

  2. 78 people attended the Saturday lectures on Lillian Smith at the RGN School. Later in the day about the same number of people toured the Lillian E. Smith Center site to see Lillian’s House Museum and the remains of the Laurel Falls Camp for Girls which Lillian ran for many years. On Sunday about 60 folks visited the site and viewed the films – Miss Smith of Georgia and Miss Lil’s Camp
